Methodology for the Selection of Trenchless Sewer Rehabilitation Technologies in Bogotá, Colombia

Context: Operational and/or structural failures in sewer networks lead network operators to carry out rehabilitation tasks maintain water transport conditions, which is why it necessary decide on the type of intervention be performed, that is, i) a traditional open-ditch procedure, or ii) use trenchless technologies. Objective: This article focuses methodology developed and implemented SELECTOR program, whose purpose provide public service companies responsible for service, as well related professionals, with decision tool answers, from technical perspective, analyzed technologies (pipe bursting, cured-in-place pipe, slip lining, spiral wound) most suitable networks.
